Established in 1886, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is considered one of the healthiest unions in North America, due in part to their strong leadership. Once every five years, they hold their International Convention to vote on leadership and to discuss and vote on resolutions that affect the IBEW. All attendees present are elected delegates and consider it an honor to act as the voice and leadership for their union local. For the past two decades IBEW has looked to Freeman, their long-time, trusted partners, to support their efforts. Together, IBEW and Freeman have evolved over the years to consistently produce an unforgettable experience for the attendees. In September 2011, the IBEW 38th Annual International Convention, "Brotherhood Beyond Borders", was held at the Vancouver Convention Centre in the heart of Vancouver, Canada. IBEW wanted to kick off the Vancouver Convention with an uplifting message, highlighting IBEW's ever present solidarity! and support to the members through both the good and the bad times. Freeman utilized its full suite of international services to create this seamless and all-encompassing experience for IBEW.
