Reuben excitedly checks himself out in the mirror, taking a second to see himself clearly. He enters the kitchen to sit at the table he has set for his "poor mans" romantic dinner. He looks expectantly across the room in eager anticipation of his soon to arrive date. He then strikes a match and lights a candle, in an attempt to set the mood. His phone flashes and he takes a second to notice his phone light up. It's a message from his date, Zoey, saying she can't make it. Reuben is deflated by the message. He puts the phone down and blows out the candle. His hopes of a date with Zoey are extinguished.
